The advantage of having your own domain name is that your appearance is unique and professional. It also permits you to utilise your Web Hosting and Email facilities to the fullest. Domain names are usually comprised of three sections: the name, class and country separated by periods ‘.’. The name must be derived directly from the company name, the class is taken from the appropriate category listed below, and the country code is the ISO abbreviated country code e.g.

When information is transmitted across the internet, it is generally done so in a human readable format. Therefore, it is not advisable to send your credit card information (used for making payments) across the internet in this clear-text format

It is recommended, that all sensitive information be encrypted before being transmitted across the internet. The method of incorporating a secure web server into your web hosting deal is a Personalised Certificate.

Due to the nature of the secure servers, if you would like to maintain the personalised domain name throughout your web site, you will need to arrange the purchase of a Digital Certificate from one of the many Certifying Authorities (CA) around the world (we do assist with this process). This will permit your web site to have an order form, under your domain name.
