Smooth to set up, smooth to use. Easy to sign up over the phone. Internet quickly connects to all wireless devices. I very much appreciate the function on the modem which can turn off the Wi-Fi when required (e.g. overnight).
Good customer service, with a courtesy call from the same representative who signed me up to ensure that all was working correctly once the modem had been delivered.

Does EscapeNet charge any connection or installation fees?
Service activation incurrs a one time $99 charge. If your premises is new, or hasn't been connected before, there is also an Opticomm 'first time connection fee' of $300. These are Opticomm network access costs, applicable to all Retail Service Providers.
How is Opticomm involved in my internet?
As part of an Opticomm Fibre Estate, the physical connection to your home will be performed and maintained by Opticomm. EscapeNet, as a Retail Service Provider, deliver internet over the Opticomm Fibre network and maintain the relationship with you as an internet user. For all things internet related, EscapeNet will be your primary support contact, and we'll manage service requests with Opticomm, should it be required.
How fast will my internet connection be?
We aim to deliver the fastest connection possible for your chosen plan and delivery technology. Actual speeds can vary due to the network or factors outside of our control, for example your home Wi-Fi.
My new home has previously been connected to the internet.
If your new home has been previously connected, we'll normally activate your EscapeNet Home Fibre service within minutes, yes, that's right, minutes.
It is the first time my new home is connecting to the internet.
New homes in Opticomm Estates are typically connected to the fibre network prior to settlement. If your home is not yet physically connected or does not have an Fibre NTD (network termination device) installed we'll arrange for an Opticomm field technician. Typically, new connections are completed within 5-20 business days. This varies depending on the availability of the technicians in your area. The Opticomm 'first time connection' fees of $300 will apply.
What do most nbnTM customers do for a phone service?
EscapeNet recommends our Home Phone add-on, or choose an EscapeNet 4G mobile sim plan. Both nbn Home Phone and 4G sim plans feature multiple plans for every budget.
Can I use my existing modem?
Yes, depending on the features of your modem, as it will require EWAN (Ethernet WAN) capabilities. To get the most of your EscapeNet service, it might be time to upgrade for improved Wi-Fi network speeds, coverage and stability.
