Check Operation Mode on a TP-Link Router

NBN Fibre To The Premises/Curb, HFC & Wireless.

Section A is written for NBN services with an NTD, such as Fibre to the Home, HFC and Wireless. For a Fibre to the Node or Basement connection guide click here.

To get the best performance from your EscapeNet internet service it's important your router or home gateway device is connected correctly.

An incorrectly connected router may work initially; but will result in drop-outs, slower speeds and devices that can't connect to the internet.

If you're having to reboot your router often, now's a good time to check it out.


Login To The Router

From your web browser of choice, visit http://192.169.0.1 and when prompted enter the default username as admin and password as admin. If you have previously changed these, enter the correct login details now.


Check The Operation Mode

From the Tabs across the top, select the Advanced Tab. Then in the left-sidebar menu, selection Operation Mode where Wireless Router Mode should be selected.

If you see Wireless Router Mode that's great, you've completed the checklist.

If Wireless Router Mode is not already selected, correct your setup by following the TP-Link NBN-EWAN quick setup guide.


NBN Fibre To The Node & Building.

Section B is written for NBN services that connect using a traditional phone line to a telephone wall socket in your home or business. This technology does not have an NBN Network Termination Device or NTD. If you have an NBN labelled device inside your home see Part A.
